365 True Things: 316/Exercise

I have mentioned exercise in these pages before. And my good intentions.

The other day, I ran across a series of eight dumbbell exercises that reminded me: oh yeah, I really should be worrying about—or rather, working on—my upper-body strength.

So today I printed out those exercises. And then I went to Big 5 and bought some dumbbells.

And then, by some small miracle, I actually did the exercises.

Well, half of them. When I'm done with this, I'll do the other half.

They recommend two to four times a week. That should be possible. Right?

And then, I'm going to mix bicycling in. Because I love my bike and bicycling is good for me.

I made similar promises before, but now that I'm about to wrap up some jobs and will have plenty of free time, I should be able to squeeze in a little something that's good for me.

And now I'm off to do the last four exercises. Wish me luck.

Update: I did three of the last four exercises. The final one was a side plank where you swing a dumbbell around. I can't even do the side plank itself, once. Never mind eight times while swinging. I will be working up to that one . . .
