By the same token, neither of us feels any "magic." I'm pretty sure I haven't lost weight, and I don't feel any extra bounce in my step to speak of. I may be sleeping a bit better, and I do feel motivated lately to get things done—but whether that's the diet's doing I can't say. I think it's a combination of things.
Oh, ha ha, now that I look at the book, it says that day 21 (interlude) can be characterized as "I am so over this." So I'm a day late. They attribute this feeling to "food boredom."
I'm not exactly bored—there are plenty of interesting recipes out there for meat and vegetables. Indeed, just yesterday David made a fabulous kale, potato, and turkey soup.
But for now, I'll have to find my crunch in, yes, carrots, celery, and apples—and the odd nut.
It could be worse . . . And, the end is in sight!

I hear you. By this point, I could barely move I had so little energy. Definitely no magic, but yes, I did feel healthier. I can't believe you chose to do this during a period that included Thanksgiving and your birthday. As you say, the end is in sight!
I only chose to do it then because I'd pushed it off for the previous two months. Couldn't do it during the Tomales workshop, for instance! Eventually, NOT doing it had become ridiculous. What were we waiting for? Thanksgiving actually turned out great (minus the wine). The birthday, though... I can't wait for December 16 ;-)
ive been wondering how you are coming along on this!
