On our drive home today, from LA to Monterey, we spotted a few geocaches on a loop away from and then back to 101. Of course we bit. And the road took us through some starkly gorgeous agricultural countryside. Here are some photos (the first two being from near the 46/101 interchange). As always, click to see the photos larger.

The cache is the bolt (circled), and through this cache we learned a bit about the vast vineyards in this part of the county. |
And... I am waiting anxiously for the winter rains. As I bet those vintners and farmers are, even more.
