365 True Things: 10/Music

I enjoy listening to music. Of many kinds: my tastes are eclectic. And I am in total awe of people who can make music. I have precisely zero talent in that.

I've always thought, though, that if I were to take up an instrument, it would be the concertina. It is such a merry little music-maker, and I like the sorts of ensembles—folk-y, dance-y—it is featured in. But it can also be sweetly melancholic, also a draw for me.

Fortunately, I have better sense than to try to learn any instrument, much less one that requires several sorts of coordination. It would be an exercise in frustration, for all concerned.

So I'll just keep listening, and appreciating the huge talent that exists out there in the world.

The concertina. Now that's a surprise except for the description, "sweetly melancholic". Lovely. So play it slow when you are alone. However, I always enjoy your definitive, "no".
