A simple post today, only because I find it weirdly and wonderfully coincidental that within a minute, in two different contexts (well, both on FB), I found these two illustrations that are, basically, identical, and yet not.

I much prefer Yeates's style, and sensibility. Although both artists focus on myth, fairytales, and animals, Yeates is more stylized, less pretty. Here are a few more of her works:
