Best Science Books of 2018

And while I'm writing about reading . . . : I sometimes collect lists of best books, in hopes that I'll look at said lists again and, perhaps, read some of the recommendations. So here are a few from last year:

• 12 best books on birds and birding, by Grrl Scientist (I had to stick one of these in my shopping cart immediately based merely on the subtitle: How Birds Got Their Names, a topic I find fascinating)
